There are many asset maintenance strategies, depending on the value of the asset and/or its criticality.  These strategies can range from Run-to-Fail to Reliability-Centered Maintenance.  Even in the absence of a strategy, maintenance tasks are still possible; however they are most likely unplanned and reactive.  A proactive maintenance program will help increase the ratio of preventive to reactive maintenance, and reconcile high-level financial measures with more practical day-to-day indicators.  At CFSour proactive maintenance approach is based on four types of work and their associated work orders, establishing a baseline for KPIs and model for process improvement.
